One of the highlights of my summer every year are the free shows Allston Pudding puts on with Zone 3 [author is a photo editor at Allston Pudding]. Over a month of Tuesday gigs that end at a reasonable time! They’re free, the range of artists and sound is quite diverse, there’s free pizza (RIP FiDO) and probiotic soda? Need I say more?
This week saw Haasan Barclay‘s Four Leaf Clover EP release show and party. He brought friends Rochelle Blue and ET to the mix. Adorably, he also brought his mom to the show, who was a phenomenal addition: she danced and cheered, set after set. Rochelle demoed some new tracks, and ET had some great callbacks that really got the audience in on the jam.
It was a gig where the photographers outnumbered the performers, but that hopefully just means more good publicity for everyone 🙂
There’s only one Tuesday set left this season, so see you there? [tickets]
